I had the pleasure of participating in the seminar “Intangible Cultural Heritage in Education” on June 12, during the 10th session of the General Assembly of the States Parties to the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. I presented experiences from the first edition of the educational workshop on Warsaw ICH for teachers working in Warsaw schools, that finished in May this year. The training was organized by the Warsaw ICH Team together with the Warsaw Educational Initiatives Centre (WCIES) and the Society of the Friends of Warsaw.

The seminar, held at UNESCO Headquarters, focused on innovative strategies, curriculum design, and classroom practices for transmitting intangible cultural heritage knowledge. The event showcased contributions from various countries, including Czechia, Greece, Poland, and Slovakia, and explored how digital technologies and non-formal educational settings can enhance the transmission of cultural heritage in schools.
