Co-hosting the 2028 biannual conference of ACHS

Very good news from beautiful Galway in Ireland! During the world’s largest conference of heritage scholars affiliated with the Association of Critical Heritage Studies, it was decided that the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies of the University of Warsaw (including our UNESCO Chair!) will host the 2028 biannual conference of ACHS!

The Warsaw candidacy during the General Assembly of ACHS members was presented by Hanna Schreiber, UNESCO Chair holder, Andrzej Jakubowski (Polish Academy of Sciences), Monika Stobiecka (Faculty of Artes Liberales, University of Warsaw, UNESCO Chair team member) and Paweł Mrowiński (Promotion Section of the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies).

We are delighted and thankful to everyone for the overwhelming support!

The conference was a great opportunity for the whole Polish team to discuss the latest developments and celebrate scholarly achievements in the field of critical heritage studies as well as in the related disciplines and areas of research such as international cultural heritage law or the study of the commons.
